The Castor Plant has long been used across many countries and cultures, and has ties to ancient medicine dating back to about 24,000 years ago. It has been mostly utilized to cultivate the oil derived from its seeds, as this oil can penetrate all 8 layers of the human epidermis, and has been used in this manner to penetrate into ulcers, tumors, polyps, cysts, (pretty much any mass-like form inside the body). It's roots and leaves also offer their own unique benefits. Also known as "The Palm of Christ", it can be a little obnoxious for a landscape, however many use it for its shade; it is extremely beneficial for a medicinal garden.
